Team Interest Introduction

 

Without getting into the details, managing a YouTube channel could be a lucrative opportunity. _____ Media (name pending), in collaboration with Akwai.com, is putting together a team of young professionals to create a media company which will produce many YouTube shows that will each post videos/episodes on a daily and weekly basis. Show ideas include; entertainment news, tech news,  philanthropic current events, sports, politics, entrepreneurship, life-hacking, self-help/motivation, gaming news, book reviews, aricle rundowns etc. Comparable YouTube Channels include; ETC Show, DNews, Gary Vaynerchuck, Vox, TechChrunch, CrashCourse, Seeker Daily, The Verge, ColdFusion, Vsauce and others. We are looking to fill some of the positions below:

 

Team Member 1 - Operations (Chief Operations Officer)

Equity Stake: 4.9% + bonuses and commission / Commitment: 12 hours per week for 12 months

This position requires an MBA. Duties include; bookkeeping, accounting, forecasting, generating reports, human resources, legal, general operations etc. At least 5 people will be interviewed for this position.

 

Team Member 2 - Talent – Daniel

Equity stake: 4.9% + bonuses and commission / Commitment: 12 hours per week for 12 months

Duties: Hosting YouTube shows, collaborating with writers, managing other show hosts etc. At least 3 people will be interviewed for the remaining Talent Management position.

 

Team Member 3 - Talent

Equity stake: 4.9% + bonuses and commission / Commitment: 12 hours per week for 12 months

Duties: Hosting YouTube shows, collaborating with writers, managing other show hosts etc. At least 3 people will be interviewed for the remaining Talent Management position.

 

Team Member 4 - Writing and Content – Allie

Equity stake: 4.9% + bonuses and commission / Commitment: 12 hours per week for 12 months

Duties: Searching, researching, fact checking, writing scripts, writing content, proof reading etc. At least 2 people will be interviewed for the remaining Writing and Content position. 

 

Team Member 5 - Writing and Content

Equity stake: 4.9% + bonuses and commission / Commitment: 12 hours per week for 12 months

Duties: Searching, researching, fact checking, writing scripts, writing content, proof reading etc. At least 2 people will be interviewed for the remaining Writing and Content position. 

 

Team Member 6 - Marketing

Equity stake: 4.9% + bonuses and commission / Commitment: 12 hours per week for 12 months

Duties: Making sure the viewer and subscriber count is growing. We prefer experience in one or more of the following; digital marketing, social media marketing, graphic design, email lists, campaigns etc. At least 4 people will be interviewed for the two Marketing positions. 

 

Team Member 7 - Marketing

Equity stake: 4.9% + bonuses and commission / Commitment: 12 hours per week for 12 months

Duties: Making sure the viewer and subscriber count is growing. We prefer experience in one or more of the following; digital marketing, social media marketing, graphic design, email lists, campaigns etc. At least 4 people will be interviewed for the two Marketing positions. 

 

Team Member 8 - Sales

Equity stake: 4.9% + bonuses and commission / Commitment: 12 hours per week for 12 months

Duties: Find innovative was to generate revenue for the company though advertisements, sponsorships, product placement etc. Must have experience in direct sales and be willing to solicit cold leads. Grit, tenacity and perseverance is a must. At least 3 people will be interviewed for this position.

 

Team Member 9 - Production

Equity stake: 4.9% + bonuses and commission / Commitment: 12 hours per week for 12 months

Duties: Videography, lighting, editing, thumbnails, YouTube page optimization, equipment, photography. Must have a portfolio to be considered - 3 people will be interviewed for this position.  

 

Team Member 10 - Technology (Chief Technology Officer)

Equity stake: 4.9% + bonuses and commission / Commitment: 12 hours per week for 12 months

Duties: In addition to servicing all technology needs, a cross platform mobile app (via Xamarin or PhoneGap) needs to be built. It will provide customers with notifications, news, community and have other features. Must be able to prove technical abilities – 3 people will be interviewed. 

 

Team Member 11 - Executive Producer

Equity Stake: 51% + bonuses and commission

Akwai may become the parent entity. Sam Shammah, CEO of Akwai, will take on the role as Executive Producer.
